I really do like this radio station, and tonight I decided to become a member. After the great music that they played as I was driving out to Great Adventure at 5:30 today I just had to. So $150 goes their way.
Nitro was my last coaster of the year. The park was busy... waited 1/2 an hour to ride. Got on around 8:30 - has to be the coldest ride I've ever had on it. Couldn't feel my face when we got back to the station. So fun!!!
Good-bye coaster season 2001.
(go Diamondbacks!!!)

where'd the sun go?
it's so dark suddenly.
Gloom.
Cold gloom out the window.
It's going to be frigid tonight.
[03:00 p.m.] Saturday, October 27, 2001
It was cold at Great Adventure tonight, but I was glad 'cos every other Friday this fall has been mild. Four coaster rides and three flats (one twice) this time... and when I got home, amazing news.
I AM GOING TO A DEVILS GAME TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!
Box seats, reserved parking.... for free! :) :) :)
My friend just got the tickets from her sister tonight so this was on short notice but wow, I've never been to a hockey game before so I can't wait! Yay yay yay!!!!
Now hopefully we won't get lost up there... I haven't been to the meadowlands in years. She's going to drive, which is what I usually do, so... anyway, yay!!!!

Hello to the new people.... hello hello.
"nothing on this earth, can hold you prisioner my dear..."
Ah, and a big welcome home to Holly... oh my I had forgotten you were going to Pittsburgh, and had so wondered where you were these last few days! Mail coming soon.
[10:20 p.m.] Sunday, October 21, 2001
baby's on fire...
Yum, the Velvet Goldmine Sountrack. It's been a while...
My site is back - yay. Holly's is still down, as are a few other's I stumbled upon, but they'll be back soon. Silly how I deleted that e-mail and for some reason deleted it from my trash too and didn't even read it really. Odd. But it's back so all is good.
I so want to see Ani D on Friday... sigh.
I want to get up to Vintage Vinyl to buy the Fruit Tree box set (Nick Drake). I can't stop listening to the album Pink Moon. Thank you library.
Thank you thank you.
Hmm, I smell food. Though, it does not smell all that tasty. I guess I should get downstairs to make myself some lunch...
maybe an entry today, but I don't know. I did write a four-line one last night... but that's staying on the hard drive methinks. Too spur-of-the-moment, la.
I've been inspired to ramble via my entry from a year ago today. And tonight I am hopefully having a friend over to re-watch a delightful little movie that's due back tomorrow morning. Even if she can't come, I'm watching it again. :)
Sunday, Sunday...

UK with NY
This sounds wonderful... I wish I could get to at least something of it. (I'd love to see the screening of "Beautiful Thing"... sigh. I adore that film.) Browsing though this site was making me drool too much.

Nothing much to say... I had a brilliant ride on Nitro tonight though... and a mad ride on Jump. I am have the song "Taxloss" running over and over again in my head. I'm going to be at Dorney Park tomorrow - yay! I feel like I was just there for opening day and now it's the last weekend... sob. Winter is coming.
"come back to me, we want your money... taxloss..."

Oh my god!!!!!! I was so hoping today would be a fun day, mainly 'cos I am not out at PPP like I should be, and what do you know, I open the movie time-table this morning and after being annoyed for weeks that Ghost World wasn't coming to Red Bank... it's just now playing at the mall. I saw this movie back in August out in Princeton, and K and I have been dying to see it again ever since. I can't wait to call her in half an hour... last night she sent me a quick mail saying that she gave up on GW ever coming... wow.

Sorry Holly, I see you on my tracker.
I don't have the energy to write tonight. I'm a mess still.
But THANK GOD I found out last night before I went to bed that my friend who works in NYC is okay. A big sigh of
relief.

A plane, most likely military, flew over my house tonight. It was incredibly loud, and it just made me sit there still until it passed. Amazing how in two days one can forget what the sound of air traffic is like...
Amazing how much things can change in an instant.

No link today again.
Ah, the fun of bridges.
Isn't it annoying when in one day, it takes you forever to get to a friend's house 'cos the bridge is "out" (and you've got to take a detour when if you had known that you would have driven a different way entirely) and then in the same day you get stuck at a different (ancient) bridge that is ready to fall down ;) heh. That was yesterday of course. At least I can say that for once we didn't get stuck at this one bridge where a fleet of fishing boats always goes out!

I am so happy ~ 'cos "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" came to Red Bank today!!! Guess where I am going Sunday then? :) Wow, we had planned on going up there to see "The Deep End," but now that Hedwig came there... wow. I can't wait... though I'm not going to rush through tonight or Saturday in this three day weekend. We're going to rent something tonight, perhaps "The Gift"? Tomorrow I shall take it easy and not go anywhere... heh. We'll see if I can hold myself to that.
Oh I do like this new Bjork album.
It is impossible to think this is the last day of August already. For all the tourists, this is the last weekend of summer.
For the rest of us, it's just the start of the good season.
Heh.

"Ghost World" was brilliant.... we both loved it. Way worth the drive all the way out to Princeton, and besides, yesterday was a beautiful day to go to a place I haven't been for many years. (And yay, they had a poster up for "Hedwig and the Angry Inch", so if that doesn't come to Red Bank, I now know where I can see it.)
As I said though, Ghost World was wonderful, and I can't wait to see it again when it comes to video. I must read the comic!
Going to the Phillies game today so doubtful that there will be any main site updates, but hey I changed the index page a few days ago...

Guess this is as close as it's going to get... so guess where I'm going!
Crazy I am, to drive far for a movie.
A movie.
I've heard so much good about it though....
Hopefully we won't get lost ... hehe. Not me!
headache ... not thinking to clearly now. Time for sleep.
PS... I want to bid on an item (on eBay) but it's selling from Japan and with the shipping and the registered mail and all... too much money. :( looks so cool though... blur, kula shaker and queen. oh well.

Why?
The heat has fried my mind!!!!

virus alert
Thanks to Bonnie of breathe
to send out this link in an e-mail telling of a virus warning... 'cos I myself got
three copies of this virus mailed to me today.
Luckily I deleted them and didn't open the attachment. I've
never before had a virus mailed to me.
Now back downstairs I go to watch the Phillies who are beating the Expos (finally eh?)
[08:08 p.m.] Tuesday, July 24, 2001
Ha ha Yankees!
I was at this game... it was *great*... my Phillies won 9-3 after what seemed to be a bad start. I have never seen that many people at a game in my life... the energy was awesome, even if there were so many Yankees fans among us. Hey, even the person I was with was a Yankees fan ;)
Yay, back in first place are the Phil's. What a fun day!

child beach badge refunds....
It's such a joke that you have to pay to get on the beach to begin with... not that I ever go. Really I haven't been in the ocean in years... but still, it's crazy that during the time before 5 pm one must pay to get on something the taxpayers pay for!
[07:48 p.m.] Wednesday, July 11, 2001
I hate waiting for the phone to ring... especially when you have no idea other than "tonight" for the time when the call will come. (Not to mention that the call will be coming from somewhere in CO so I don't have a number to make the call myself.) The phone has rung thre times already - my friend twice, and then my aunt. That friend is coming over for a (rented) movie soon, though she wanted to go for a walk... I don't want to miss this call.
Grrr.

Time is passing very quickly.

Guess I missed this story back in May.
Today I got to hear the song sample sent out to the mailing list though (yay!) and it was lovely. I really have to get back into the habit of checking the official site.
