Where I will be
...tonight: seeing Yes! In fact I am leaving in about 1/2 an hour, just so I can meet my sister there by 6:00. I so wish it wasn't cold and rainy out today - we have lawn seats... It feels like winter yet it's the middle of July. Brrrr....

Searching for Scully's New Partner
Bah!
My sister passed this link along to me.

His plea: I had to kill her
Back on November 1, 1998, I wrote an entry including a news story of a woman who was killed while working in a video store. The story was connceted to me at that time because the woman was a friend of someone I knew. Today there was an article in the newspaper on what finally happened with the trial of the killer. The above link is that article. Here is the story that tells part of the story in the killer's own words.
Shudder. At least this guy won't be "eligible for parole until he is at least 105 years old."

No link for now...
I just had to say that right now I am absolutely loving the songs "Avalonia" and "Holy River" by Kula Shaker. I dragged out one of my "MMG" singles this morning and now I can't stop playing it!

Woo hoo! The Phillies beat the Yankees 10-8 last night. I watched the whole game on MSG. I'm looking forward to their last game tonight, with Curt Schilling on the mound.

I always knew I lived in a crowded state...
but I didn't realise that "New Jersey has one of the highest concentrations of people and money on the planet," or that "if New Jersey were a separate nation, it would have the second-highest per capita income in the world, a close second behind only Switzerland."

Grrr... I just watched (on TV) the Phillies lose to the Yankees in extra innings. The Phils had been ahead most of the game. A great pitching job by Paul Byrd wasted. Boo.

I Love Pinball.Com
Me too, me too!!
I can't get enough... I see in my future (this weekend) another trip to a certain arcade to play Cylcone and Theatre of Magic~

"...charged with using his Jeep Cherokee sport-utility vehicle to purposely bump another car off the Garden State Parkway."
alrighty....

No Yes?
I hope Jon Anderson can overcome this throat illness - my sister and I were (are) really looking forward to the Yes concert that is next Wednesday....

Are Bumper Stickers Going the Way of Sandwich Boards?
Got this link from rememberme pitas, and it's a good one. A news articles about vanishing bumper stickers - it made me think - I remember a time myself when almost every car I saw had something to read on it's bumper. It was fun and interesting to read the different things, but it is true, you see less and less of this these days.
Do I have anything on my car? Well, nothing political - I have a window sticker for WMMR (though I am thinking of taking that off), a sticker for the band Yes, a big Phillies bumper sticker, and another small sparkling Phillies logo on my window. Sounds like a lot, but it's really not. Then again, I guess compared to most people it is.

Guess where I am going tonight?
Yes, I'm going on a whim to see the Phillies - we are going to get tickets at the stadium. Curt Schilling is pitching tonight! It's inter-league play; they are facing Baltimore.

Hello, it’s Todd
Dude – it would be so cool to see Todd Rundgren play tomorrow night in AC. Yes it would!
This link will become obsolete in a few days I think

"snap"
"POP"
No, it's not 1/3 of the Rice Krispies theme, it's the sound of people and their firecrackers - (more like just the firecrackers). They are starting... and my dog is none too pleased.

Loud sounds like fireworks freak her out.

And this is just the right time of year...

2nd of July, 2000
Yes, it's yet another an editorial cartoon.

Right now I am listening to Jethro Tull ~ just thought I'd share that. Before this it was Placebo. Major mood shift there...

Infant stuck by syringe on beach
This is awful - is it the 1980s all over again? Is this kind of thing going to start happening like it did back then? I remember when the beach and ocean were not an altogether friendly place, then the '90s saw a great improvement in beach and ocean cleanliness. I can't believe it could be reverting back to the mess that was the '80s.

Okay, so everyone around here was looking forward to seeing tonight's Mets/Braves game on TBS cos we wanted to see how the NY fans reacted to John Rocker. But can we watch it? No, because Major League Baseball has "blacked out" tonight's game on TBS (most likely because the game is also on FOX Sports NY, which is a pay channel).
I hate it when they do that!!

[07:10 p.m.] Thursday, June 29, 2000

Rocker's return
I can only imagine how much the city of New York is spending to protect John Rocker when the Braves get to town today. He should be made to pay for the costs - ha.

Children of the Eighties
This link has probably been around for a long time, but hey, it's the first time I saw it.

And yes, I am a child of the '80s. I started my grade school education in the year 1981 after all. Why do I suddenly feel old? ;) hehe.

You were saying?
Yet another great ed. toon, this time, talking on cell phones while driving.

I finally re-designed this page, after having the same layout since I started.
Do you think it is an improvement? Sign the book and let me know :)
